About

LIN Pei-Yao, born in 1998, is an artist from Taichung, Taiwan, currently pursuing a Master's degree in Fine Arts at Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA). Her works primarily center on video and spatial installations, exploring themes of fragmented and dualistic perceptual states, often manifesting as repetitive and mutable conscious spaces within the image. Her art delves into the multilinear temporality and the ever-shifting relationship between the body and self-perception.

Her recent works explore the intimacy, detachment, connection and rupture of bodily perceptions, as well as the immersive and dissociative experiences within image spectatorship. She engages in a creative exploration that investigates the disparities between the body, medium and image, aiming to create an ethereal experience such as fantasy, which mixed with materiality and information.
