Join Me and Splash in the Light Pool

Lion Plaza in Ximending is an incredibly heterogeneous space. To me, watching the people, shops, wedding dresses, mannequins, and arcade machines feels like stepping into another world.

In this site-specific work, I wandered through the building wearing a wedding dress, scanning parts of my body into 3D models. I constructed an LED-framed luminous stage next to a dress shop and performed using recordings collected on-site and electronic music. I hoped to virtualize my body, turning it into an entity akin to the mannequins in the dress shop.
